Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking aspiring solderers to support production operations on PCBs and PCBAs. You will demonstrate skill with SMT and through-hole soldering, plus rework and repair of assemblies.

This is a 1st shift role with hours 5:00am to 2:30pm, and overtime is available and encouraged. You will interpret routers and drawings, perform inspections to IPC standards, and prepare boards for final assembly and test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Typically requires 3+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount).
• Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups.
• Hand soldering experience is required.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
• Will require an onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 standards during the interview.

This is a 1st shift opportunity, daily hours will be from 5:00am to 2:30pm and overtime is available and encouraged

Preferred Qualifications

• Rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
• IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs
