Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Level Hydrogeologist to support hydrogeologic studies for mining clients across multiple locations, including Denver. The role involves field investigations, groundwater modeling, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on feasibility and baseline studies.

Travel is required; a primary focus is on industrial water supply, dewatering, and environmental impact assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology or related discipline; master's preferred.
• Experience using GIS tools for hydrogeologic studies.
• Experience with hydrogeologic analysis and groundwater modeling tools such as MODFLOW/FEFLOW.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual hydrogeological models to support field program design.
• Oversee field investigations including drilling, logging, and sampling.
• Install monitoring and dewatering wells and piezometers.
• Contribute to groundwater modeling to support dewatering and impact assessments.
• Prepare field data summaries and lithologic logs.
• Travel to field sites with overnight stays as required.
