Job summary

Stantec seeks a Hydrogeology Intern to join our Global Mining team in Fort Collins or Denver, CO. You will work alongside experienced practitioners on hydrogeology projects related to underground and surface mining, groundwater modeling, and field studies.

Based in Colorado, you will gain hands-on experience, develop technical documents, and contribute to client projects while collaborating with project managers and engineers. This internship supports learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or secondary degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with software relevant to hydrogeology such as MODFLOW, ArcGIS, Aqtesolv, or Aquifer Test Pro desired but not necessary.
• Interest in acquiring mining-specific experience in quantitative and qualitative hydrogeology.
• Technical and scientific reporting, presentation, and review capability.
• You must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multi-discipline hydrogeology, hydrology, and engineering team on a day-to-day basis.
• Participate in team meetings and project meetings.
• Actively engage with project team members to complete tasks.
• Contribute to development of hydrogeologic conceptual and numerical groundwater models with supervision.
