Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead unsaturated and saturated groundwater flow modelling for mining studies across multiple projects. You will work with hydrogeologists, geochemists, and geotechnical engineers to build conceptual site models and design evapotranspiration cover systems.

The role involves client interface, preparing reports, supporting business development, mentoring staff, and travel.

Qualifications

• M.S. in hydrogeology/geology/geochemistry or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of consulting or regulatory experience with unsaturated and saturated flow models preferred.
• Existing professional registration or ability to pursue PG/PE.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of conceptual site models and groundwater flow models.
• Design evapotranspiration cover systems and mine water management approaches.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver safe, innovative solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and support hiring.
• Travel internationally or nationally as needed.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and contractors.
