An established industry player is seeking an Intermediate Financial Research Analyst to support the Hillman Cancer Center. This role involves reviewing hospital charges, coding for clinical trials, and collaborating with clinical research teams to ensure accurate billing practices. The individual will serve as an Intermediate Financial Research Analyst for the Hillman Cancer Center. Primary responsibilities include:
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines as well as be a team player is required.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; an Associate degree plus 3 years of related experience may be substituted; focus in healthcare or healthcare related field is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of clinical research and/or compliance experience is required. Coverage analysis certification preferred. Prior research or compliance administration experience is strongly preferred. Understanding of various third party, regulatory, compliance and ancillary UPMC committee guidelines. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Proficiency with computers and database software is required and excellent typing and computer navigation skills are preferred. Time management skills and the ability to work on numerous projects at one time are essential. Attention to detail and self-initiated problem solving is imperative to properly and accurately complete the fiscal process. Strong financial skills coupled with an understanding of the clinical area and the terminology used therein is a must.
Job Summary: Serves as regulatory liaison for all clinical sites, coordinating centers, and data management centers and performs grant approval reviews and assists with regulatory reviews. Coordinates investigator training sessions, assists with compliance investigations, maintains databases, and develops approval guidelines to ensure institutional compliance with all regulations, policies, and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions: Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate a computer and other office tools such as telephone, calculator, facsimile, and copy machines.
Physical Effort: Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
