JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

HomeRiver Group is seeking out a Remote/WFH Financial Analyst to join their team. The Financial Analyst position offers an opportunity to dive into various areas of the business to assist market leaders and corporate leadership in decision-making by way of research, analysis and reporting. This position will support the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for the entire organization as well as supporting the monthly financial and KPI reporting efforts. The Financial Analyst will be an individual contributor, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, FP&A.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Support the development and preparation of executive level materials including monthly and quarterly business reviews, senior leadership presentations and communication of results to market and corporate leaders
2. Collaborate with the rest of the FP&A team and various business partners to provide meaningful analyses and insight on monthly financial results
3. Partner cross-functionally within the business to uncover and drive new insights for operational and financial success as well as highlighting business trends for assessing risks and opportunities
4. Leverage various financial systems to automate and scale current processes to support efficiency
5. Conduct ad hoc modeling and analysis to support critical investment and other financial decisions for the company
6. Work closely with accounting in monthly close process to ensure timeliness and accuracy of entries

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

• 2-4 years overall experience including experience with budgeting and forecasting processes and systems with applications development in financial planning and analysis.

• Self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize, exercise judgement and take ownership of projects.
• Ability to work with large amounts of information, synthesize trends and insights and communicate findings to specific audiences.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Tableau or PowerBI a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, manipulate, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
