Job summary

HOK in Chicago is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead all design phases, guide strategic direction, and mentor junior designers. You will collaborate across sectors to create impactful, sustainable environments and manage client relationships with a strong design vision.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in interior design, NCIDQ certification, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools, and LEED accreditation within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design, architecture, or related discipline required.
• NCIDQ certification is required.
• LEED accreditation within 12 months of employment.
• 10+ years of interior design experience with 5+ years in project management across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-quality, innovative design concepts aligned with client objectives, brand identity and budget.
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from contract negotiation to construction administration.
• Mentor junior staff and foster growth, creativity, and professional development.
• Cultivate client relationships and represent the firm at industry events.
• Coordinate across disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment with goals.
