Job summary

HOK's Boston office is seeking a Project Manager for our Interiors practice to lead all design phases, guide strategic direction, and mentor junior designers. The role requires strong leadership, a passion for design excellence, and collaboration across sectors to deliver sustainable environments.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of interior design experience, NCIDQ, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, with LEED accreditation within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.
• NCIDQ certification required.
• If registered as an Architect, NCARB registration is preferred.
• 7+ years prior experience as an Interior Designer in design/architecture/engineering/planning firms.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• LEED accreditation required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of high-quality, innovative design concepts aligned with client objectives, brand identity, and budget.
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from contract negotiation to construction administration.
• Assess materials, coordinate bid processes, and support subcontracting for fabrication and logistics.
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to meet project goals and technical requirements.
• Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the design team.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and foster growth.
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships and pursue future opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to marketing and award submissions.
