Job summary

HOK is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to interpret, organize and execute conceptual design across projects in a collaborative, design-forward environment. You will manage space planning, furniture specification, finishes, and project documentation from schematic design through construction.

Requires a bachelor’s in architecture or interior design, NCIDQ or Architect license, and LEED credentials within 12 months. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have professional Interior Designer status and NCIDQ or Architect licensure.
• LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.
• Travel will be required; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination.
• Develops innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to client goals and within project budget.
• Implements all phases of a design project including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, design, documentation, specifications and construction.
• Responsible for maintaining positive client relationships and keeping clients apprised of project progress.
• Leads the Construction Administration phase including RFIs, COs, and review of shop drawings.

Education

Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design

NCIDQ certification or Architect license
