Surface Experts is seeking a Field Technician to join our Bluffton team. You will work on-site with multiple daily customers, performing repairs using a provided toolkit and following our 5-step process while delivering world-class customer service.

Great for hands-on individuals who enjoy problem-solving and learning new trades. We offer a branded company vehicle for duties, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with your hands in construction, manufacturing, painting, or hobby work.
• Facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to identify, compare, and recreate colors; color-matching skill is helpful.

Responsabilités

• In the Field Daily
• On the jobsite for 4+ customers per day
• On-site work orders, customer service, and follow-ups
• Work with a variety of customers including Property Management, Hotels, Movers, Builders
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication
• Track progress and notes in our CRM/Dispatch tool
• Communicate with support team with questions
• Follow and apply Repair Process
• Utilize the 5-step repair process
• Use your toolkit to perform repairs
• Fix repairs creatively to maximize outcomes
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills with hands-on repairs

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

In the Field Daily

On the jobsite for 4+ customers per day

On-site Work Orders, customer service, and follow-ups

Working for a variety of customers in different industries including Property Management, Hotels, Movers, Builders, etc.

Customer Service and Communication

Display world-class customer service for tenants and property management staff

Track work progress and notes in our CRM/Dispatch tool

Communicate with support team with questions

Follow Repair Process

Understand and utilize our unique 5-step repair process

Employ each tool in your custom tool-kit

Problem-solve repairs with creativity

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with your hands - This could be in construction, manufacturing, painting, or even a personal hobby

Experience working in facilities maintenance can be a big plus, but is not required

An ability to identify, compare, and recreate colors - Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do. An art background is helpful, but not necessary.

Willingness to commit to learning a skill that may take months to master.

The ideal applicant is someone who finds pride in their work and enjoys fixing things. Most of our customers are faced with replacing their counter, floor, tub or other hard surface. As a repair tech we can repair the damage, saving them the hassle and cost of replacement.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
