Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Designer to develop documents, drawings, and diagrams that meet client goals. You will formulate space plans, select finishes, and coordinate with design professionals to ensure compliance and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design, 1+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT. Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a FIDER accredited institution (NCIDQ a plus)
• Minimum of 1+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT and Architectural Desktop
• Ability to read and review construction documents; provide technical sign-off/approval
• Understanding of the technical aspects of design/construction such as low voltage, construction materials, design concepts/budgets, constructability, electrical and HVAC systems
• Versed in the five phases of an interior/architectural project
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
• The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented

Responsibilities

• Formulate preliminary space plans and sketches that integrate the client's needs
• Confirm preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety and welfare requirements
• Compile selection of colors, materials and finishes to convey the concept and meet requirements
• Compile selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product description; provide contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation
• Coordinate and collaborate with other allied design professionals who may be retained for consulting services
• Confirm construction documents for non-structural and/or non-seismic construction are signed and sealed by the responsible interior designer for filing with code enforcement officials
• Assist with administration of contract documents, bids and negotiations as the client’s agent
• Provide reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion
