Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Designer to support planning, design, and permitting of new and remodel retail locations. You will review site surveys, develop design intent plans, coordinate construction documents with external consultants, and manage permit coordination to help delivery on schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school, 1+ year of experience, and proficiency in REVIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA accredited institution (NCIDQ a plus).
• 1+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in REVIT; understand phasing, design options, schedules.
• Ability to read and review construction documents; provide technical sign-off/approval.
• Understanding of building codes and ADA standards.

Responsibilities

• Review site surveys, landlord criteria, and existing conditions documentation.
• Develop and maintain design intent plans for new stores, relocations, and remodel projects.
• Coordinate with architects and engineering consultants on construction document production.
• Review construction documents to ensure compliance with client standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.
• Manage permit submittal processes and track approvals through jurisdictional review.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, landlords, and external vendors to resolve design and permitting issues.
• Support project schedules by ensuring design and permitting milestones are achieved on time.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates on design and permitting activities.
