Job summary

NELSON Worldwide is seeking an Interior Designer II to join our Civic & Justice Practice in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on basic interior design tasks and supports project teams across administration, development, and drawing production, with emphasis on Revit and presentation skills.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, especially on courthouses and civic facilities, and will contribute to design development and coordination with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design required.
• 5+ years' experience in Interior Design/Architecture.
• Public projects experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys as required; Field surveys must be easy to read and thorough.
• Assist in preparation of drawings for all design phases.
• Update design documents as needed for all levels of designers.
• Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
• Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
• Build models for client/project team review.
• Participate in client meetings as directed.
• Attend site visits, punch lists, submittals, shop drawing review.
