Interior Talent is seeking an Interior Designer for a luxury residential studio in San Francisco. You will collaborate with a seasoned design team to produce detailed construction documents, develop 3D models, and support projects from concept through completion.

The ideal candidate has 5-7+ years of experience, expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and InDesign, and a passion for craftsmanship and design excellence. This role requires in-office work with on-site visits as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of professional interior design experience, focus on residential.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and InDesign.
  • Experience with rendering and visualization software preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential interior design methods, detailing, and documentation standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for luxury residential design and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction documents, technical drawings, elevations, sections, millwork details, and design packages.
  • Translate design concepts into buildable documentation and coordinate with consultants and vendors.
  • Create and maintain SketchUp models and other visualizations; produce renderings and client presentations.
  • Support the Studio Director and Senior Designer from concept to completion, including finish selections and material documentation.
  • Participate in internal design reviews and project coordination meetings; maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare presentation materials, documenting outcomes and decisions.

Interior Designer | High-End Residential Interior Design

Working Style: In-office with on-site visits/travel when needed

We're seeking an Interior Designer to join our client's highly respected luxury residential design studio, known for creating timeless, sophisticated homes. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with an experienced design team to produce detailed construction documentation, develop 3D models, and support projects from concept through completion. What You'll Do
Technical Documentation & Drawing Production
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction documents, technical drawings, elevations, sections, millwork details, and design packages.
  • Translate design concepts and sketches into accurate, buildable documentation.
  • Coordinate drawing sets with consultants, vendors, and internal construction teams.
  • Assist in maintaining drawing standards and quality control throughout project development.
  • Review drawings and documentation for consistency, accuracy, and constructability.
  • Create and maintain SketchUp models and other visualizations throughout the design process.
  • Produce models that support design development, client presentations, construction coordination, and detailing.
  • Generate renderings, perspectives, and visual tools to communicate design intent.
Design & Project Support
  • Support the Studio Director and Senior Designer in the development and execution of projects from concept through completion.
  • Assist with finish selections, product research, material documentation, and design presentations.
  • Participate in internal design reviews and project coordination meetings.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Client Interaction
  • Attend client meetings and presentations as a supporting member of the project team.
  • Communicate project information professionally and effectively.
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials and documenting meeting outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in interior design, focus on residential interior design
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and InDesign.
  • Experience with rendering and visualization software preferred.
