Job summary

DBI/David Brown International is a boutique luxury residential design studio in Austin, TX, offering mentorship and direct client exposure on highly customized homes. You will work closely with the founder, gaining ownership over design and project delivery while traveling to design destinations for inspiration and professional development.

Key responsibilities include creating detailed CAD/SketchUp drawings, sourcing FF&E, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of interior design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • Advanced CAD and SketchUp skills; rendering experience preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong design taste, curiosity, organization, and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced boutique environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Principal from concept through installation.
  • Produce detailed CAD, SketchUp, and presentation drawings.
  • Source furnishings, lighting, textiles and finishes.
  • Develop FF&E schedules and custom millwork/furniture drawings.
  • Support construction administration, site visits and vendor coordination.
  • Manage documentation, deadlines and multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail.
