Job summary

Living Spaces in Houston, TX is hiring an Interior Design Sales Specialist. You will service in-store guests with our Guest Engagement Model, emphasize interior design, and handle scheduled design appointments from in-house, commercial channels, or appointment technology by analyzing project requests.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in interior design and 1–2 years in customer service, retail, or furniture store environments.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in interior design; 1-2 years in customer service, retail, or furniture store.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Must complete internal Living Spaces certification program.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage guests and apply the Guest Engagement Model to drive sales.
Determine guests' goals and provide design advice, product recommendations and fabric/furniture samples.
Present customized room designs with sample fabrics, furniture, tables and accessories.
Maintain current knowledge of merchandise, features and availability; master brand design inspiration.
Process transactions in the Point of Sale system and support the store team to reach revenue targets.
