You will handle space planning, fabric coordination, and project design, with an emphasis on customer-driven service and measurable sales results. The role rewards performance through an incentive plan with a recoverable draw and commissions, and top earners can reach six figures.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Experience with social media and grass-roots marketing to build a client book is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; alternate transportation acceptable in some cases.
• Intermediate skill with digital floor planning; 3D applications are a plus.
• Experience with AR/VR visualization tools is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions consistent with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Greet customers professionally and establish rapport for appointments and home consultations.
• Use social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers on the complimentary design service and available financing options.
• Stay current on design trends to develop fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide excellent service before and after the sale.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Enter orders using the retail POS system.
• Collaborate with leaders to develop and execute grass roots marketing plans.
