Nell Hill's is seeking a motivated Designer with strong sales instincts to join our Design Team in Kansas City, MO. You will help customers envision inspired spaces, translate ideas into product selections, and drive revenue on the sales floor while delivering exceptional client experiences.

This role blends design expertise with client-facing sales, requiring energetic collaboration, organization, and weekend availability to meet client needs and close opportunities.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience, preferably in design or client-facing roles.
• Strong design sense and ability to translate client vision into choices.
• Proficiency with design tools (floor planning, mood boards) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales on the sales floor and close opportunities with enthusiasm.
• Provide design consultations on space planning, color schemes, and product selections.
• Create detailed proposals with quotes and floor plans for client review.
• Own the client experience, follow up and resolve post-order issues.
• Build and maintain a client book through clienteling efforts.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a high-energy environment.
