Job description

A high-profile boutique interior design studio with an exceptional portfolio of luxury residential projects is seeking a Project Manager to join its West Hollywood team. Renowned for creating highly personal interiors that balance timeless design with contemporary influences, the studio is celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship and uncompromising attention to detail.

Working within an established project team and alongside senior studio leadership, this role will take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of multiple high-end residential projects. The position is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the process from client and consultant coordination and procurement, through custom furniture production, quality control, and installation.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and polished, and will have proven experience successfully delivering prime residential projects. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with clients, principals, architects, contractors, vendors, workrooms, and consultants. While technical production is not the primary focus of the position, a strong understanding of drawings, design intent, and residential detailing is important.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded studio with an exceptional portfolio of prestigious residential work and strong opportunities for long-term growth. The team places a strong emphasis on developing talent internally, offering the opportunity to grow into greater project ownership and leadership over time. The position offers a competitive benefits package including medical insurance and a 401(k).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination and delivery of multiple high-end residential projects across varying stages of design and execution
  • Act as a key point of contact between clients, principals, architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams
  • Work closely with senior leadership to track project progress, anticipate upcoming needs, and proactively address issues relating to budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Support the development and maintenance of project budgets, schedules, finish schedules, plumbing schedules, appliance schedules, and other project documentation
  • Oversee FF&E procurement from specification and ordering through delivery, ensuring pieces are accurate, on schedule, and aligned with the design intent
  • Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and workrooms on custom furniture, millwork, and specialty pieces, including reviewing details and conducting quality-control visits where required
  • Assist with furniture plans, custom furniture drawings, and design documentation using AutoCAD and other relevant software
  • Coordinate samples, finishes, specifications, approvals, and vendor submissions throughout the project
  • Attend client meetings, project team meetings, site visits, showroom appointments, and workroom visits as required
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries with warehouses and installation teams
  • Develop detailed installation schedules and play an active role in overseeing installations and final project delivery
  • Coordinate proposals, purchasing documentation, client invoicing, and other project administration alongside the studio’s accounting team
  • Help maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders and ensure deadlines, deliverables, and design standards are consistently met
Key Skills/Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional experience within a high-end residential interior design studio
  • Experience working on luxury residential projects from concept through procurement and installation
  • Strong understanding of FF&E, custom furnishings, materials, finishes, and residential detailing
  • Proven procurement experience, including vendor coordination, purchasing, tracking, deliveries, and quality control
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Highly proactive with strong initiative and the ability to anticipate project needs rather than simply react to them
  • Polished and professional communication style, with confidence working directly with clients, principals, consultants, and vendors
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to confidently understand and navigate interior drawings and design documentation
  • Experience with Studio Designer
