A celebrated, internationally recognized interior design studio is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join its Los Angeles team, supporting the delivery of a large-scale project based in London. Known for its highly personalized approach to luxury living environments, the studio has earned a global reputation for creating timeless interiors defined by sophistication, emotional resonance, and meticulous attention to detail.

Working directly alongside the firm’s Principal and Design Director, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the studio’s most high-profile international projects, collaborating closely with both the New York and London teams throughout all phases of design and execution. The position requires a designer who is equally confident in creative ideation and technical coordination, with the ability to navigate a highly collaborative, fast-moving, and detail-driven project environment.

The ideal candidate is a polished and proactive designer with strong experience in luxury residential interiors, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to seamlessly coordinate across international teams, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders. This individual should possess a refined design eye, strong organizational abilities, and a high level of technical proficiency, while remaining adaptable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate directly with the Principal, Director, and project leadership across all phases of a large-scale luxury project based in London
  • Coordinate closely with both New York and London-based teams to ensure seamless communication, project alignment, and continuity throughout the design process
  • Contribute to concept development through research, material studies, mood boards, finish palettes, sourcing, and presentation preparation
  • Produce and develop detailed drawing packages including floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, millwork drawings, and technical documentation
  • Assist with FF&E sourcing, specifications, procurement coordination, and vendor communications while maintaining alignment with the overall design vision
  • Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and visual assets for internal reviews and client-facing meetings
  • Support project coordination efforts including consultant communication, meeting follow-up, schedule tracking, and day-to-day project organization
  • Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and vendor documentation under the direction of senior leadership
  • Participate in site visits, installations, showroom visits, and project meetings as required
  • Maintain organized project files, schedules, specifications, and procurement documentation across multiple active project phases
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and consultants to support accurate execution and uphold the integrity of the design intent
  • Contribute both creatively and technically within a highly collaborative studio environment, balancing design development with detailed project coordination
Key Skills / Requirements:
  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field
  • 3–6 years of professional experience within luxury residential interior design required
  • Strong experience supporting projects through concept development, documentation, procurement, and installation phases
  • Sophisticated understanding of luxury residential detailing, custom furnishings, materiality, finishes, and spatial composition
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering/visualization platforms such as Enscape or Lumion
  • Strong technical abilities with experience producing detailed drawing sets, elevations, millwork coordination, and FF&E specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently coordinate across international teams and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced studio environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of professionalism and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in-office, attending site visits, and participating in project-related travel as needed
  • Valid passport required for international travel
