Job summary

Archinect in New York seeks an experienced Interior Architect / Project Manager to lead luxury residential and boutique commercial projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate with principals, designers, consultants, and clients while managing schedules, budgets, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in interior design or architecture, proficiency in AutoCAD and Procore, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • 8+ years of experience in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Procore required; experience with Bluebeam, Photoshop, Sketchup, Rhino is a plus
  • Mac OS user
  • Strong organizational and conceptual skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills when coordinating with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects in different phases shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, systems-driven environment
  • Comfortable using project management softwares

Responsibilities

  • Manage project planning, timelines, and schedules across all phases, including coordinating client meetings, vendor meetings, installations, and weekly project priorities
  • Conduct site visits to perform field measurements, oversee job-site activities, and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Prepare comprehensive construction document (CD) sets in AutoCAD, including furniture plans, architectural details, elevations, and related documentation
  • Review RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals, produce drawings to support as needed in coordination with Principal
  • Review and redline drawings sets and renderings across all phases
  • Develop project scopes of work, specifications, budgets, finish schedules, and distribute documentation to all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain project information and verify quotations, specifications, and purchase orders
  • Maintain proactive communication with the Principal and project team regarding project status, milestones, risks, and significant developments
  • Prepare client meeting materials, including agendas, presentations, sample boards, and supporting documentation
  • Manage post-meeting follow-up by distributing meeting minutes, organizing and returning samples and catalogs, documenting action items, and tracking next steps
  • Serve as the primary point of communication with clients, consultants, vendors, and trade partners throughout all phases of the project

We are a full service Interior Design firm specializing in luxury residential and boutique commercial interiors, with office in New York and projects spanning San Francisco and Miami.

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Interior Architect / Project Manager to join our growing team. Working closely with the Principal, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and clients, this role is integral to every phase of the design process from concept development and design documentation through procurement, construction, installation, and project completion.

The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury residential interior design and has a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations required to execute complex projects successfully. This individual is an excellent communicator and a proactive, solution-oriented, self-starter who thrives with autonomy, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys a client-facing role. They are highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining exceptional quality, professionalism, and client service.

  • Develop project scopes of work, specifications, budgets, finish schedules, and distribute documentation to all relevant stakeholders
