Ethan Allen in Mishawaka, IN seeks a full-time Design Consultant to create individualized design solutions and sell Ethan Allen products and services. You will greet customers, assess needs, and schedule in-home consultations, expanding customer relationships through social media and grass-roots marketing.

The role emphasizes design-driven sales, team collaboration, and leveraging digital tools (3-D room planning, CRM, live chat) to build volume and satisfy clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• General understanding of how to utilize social media and grass-roots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver's license, with exceptions only if alternate transportation is available.
• Intermediate skill in digital floor planning technology; 3D applications a plus.
• Experience using interactive tech to view design concepts (AR/VR).
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that fit customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen's products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and secure appointments.
• Use social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers about complimentary design services offered.
• Stay current on design and color trends for fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service before and after the sale.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on available Ethan Allen finance options.
• Contribute to portfolio upkeep for the design center.
• Utilize corporate systems/tech to design projects and present to clients.
• Enter orders via the retail POS system.
• Maintain a neat and orderly design center.
• Collaborate with leaders to develop business/grass-roots plans.
• Use technology (CRM, Room Planner, Live Chat) to build client relationships.
