Job summary

Havertys Furniture seeks an Interior Design Consultant to join the new McKinney showroom. You will design spaces and present floor plans, guiding customers from initial consultation to final delivery.

This role features uncapped commissions with guaranteed base wages, plus in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations. A strong design portfolio and customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in interior design or related field; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASID certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to customer in-home appointments.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and sales consultants to create rooms and spaces while recommending furniture and accessories to achieve a completed, designed look.
• Offer in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations to understand customer needs, style, investment, and space.
• Create floor plans and photo-realistic 3D renderings of Havertys furniture and accessories for the home.
• Assist Sales Consultants in closing transactions by providing design knowledge and coordinating visits.
