Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services is seeking an Interim Home Supervisor for the VanderArk B Program in Grand Rapids. This full-time role leads a structured, trauma-informed residential team caring for girls aged 12–17 with developmental needs or autism, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and strong family partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of youth treatment experience.
• Alternatively, an Associate’s degree with at least three years of youth treatment experience.
• High School diploma with at least four years of direct care experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience leading and working with interdisciplinary teams preferred.
• Subscription to the Wedgwood Christian Services faith statement and alignment with the agency mission.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of Developmental Care Specialists.
• Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and mentoring new employees and interns.
• Partner with clinicians and program leadership to maintain a therapeutic, trauma-informed residential environment.
• Develop staff schedules and assist with payroll administration.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards, agency policies, quality assurance expectations, and documentation requirements.
• Monitor training completion, regulatory requirements, inspections, and reporting.
• Oversee the home’s physical environment, supplies, nutrition, and maintenance needs.
• Participate in on-call coverage to support staffing and program operations.
• Lead and participate in team meetings focused on client care and staff development.
• Build positive relationships with families, community partners, and external stakeholders.
• Support agency initiatives, utilization efforts, and continuous quality improvement.
