Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to lead month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations for a manufacturing plant. You will analyze margins, spend, and productivity while supporting variance analysis and cash flow improvements.

You will maintain fixed assets, CIP, depreciation, and inventory valuations, partnering with senior leaders on budgets and forecasts to align with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 3–5 years manufacturing cost accounting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare reports: gross margin, productivity, spend, shipments, and orders.
• Provide financial analysis to support departments and productivity projects.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and CIP tracking.
• Monitor inventory valuations and annual plant cost roll; physical inventory.
• Assist budgeting and quarterly forecasts; support strategic planning.
• Engage with senior leaders to provide finance/accounting support.
