JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERIM SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
Participate in the month end financial close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports including gross margin analysis, productivity analysis, operational spend, and daily shipments and orders.
Assist in providing financial analysis to support various departments, as well as, with the development of projects that improve productivity, cash flow, and EBIT.
Update and maintain all aspects of fixed asset accounting. Including prepare journal entries to capitalize, dispose, record depreciation of fixed assets. Track Construction in Progress and monitor against approved capital spending.
Update and maintain inventory valuations in accordance with IFRS, including an annual plant wide cost roll. Coordinate and conduct annual physical inventory.
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Required to be a key contributor in the annual strategic planning process and the development of operational objectives for the plant that are aligned to corporate strategic objectives.
Analyze budgets and daily forecast for the plant, providing professional and timely management report on variances, trends and control standards and practices.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership team members so as to identify their needs; seek to provide finance/accounting team support.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.S. in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or MBA a plus.
Three to Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting, and variance analysis.
Strong Excel spreadsheet capabilities. Business Objects, HFM, FAS and JDE proficiency preferred, or any large ERP experience.
Very high attention to detail, good organizational skills, good communication skills, reacts well to time pressure, comfortable working in plant environment and is motivated to learn all aspects of the manufacturing operation.
Strong analytical skills with ability to focus on details, as necessary.
