Job summary

The Avante Group seeks an Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for its Central Florida skilled nursing facilities. You will oversee Nursing Services, ensure regulatory compliance and elevate patient care across locations.

This role involves travel to multiple sites as needed and requires strong leadership and RN licensure. Join our team to guide clinical operations, mentor staff, and maintain the highest standards of care while navigating federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet licensure requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Minimum 3-5 years as RN.
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Must maintain current CPR Certification.
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the Nursing Services Department.
• Travel to Avante locations in Central Florida as needed to fill in.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards governing long-term care.
• Strive for the highest quality of care and resident safety across facilities.
