Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking a Traveling Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations across Florida. The role requires residence in Florida and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays, to support multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Director of Nursing experience in long term or skilled nursing, a current RN license, and proven leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have an active RN license in the assigned state or be eligible for assignment where RN is not acting as DON.
• Minimum five years of management or supervisory experience in long-term or acute care.
• Restorative or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Proven track record in performance management and effective leadership.
• Must possess current CPR Certification.
• Ability to travel extensively including overnight stays and for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the overall clinical operations of and provide full-time clinical oversight for assigned facility.
• Provide coverage and onboarding support during vacancies and leadership transitions.
• Assess clinical systems to ensure compliance with company practices.
• Develop and monitor a business plan for clinical operations with goals and talent development.
• Conduct leadership evaluations to upgrade and develop center leadership talent.
• Create innovative ideas to improve systems and processes and build a strong management team.
