Job summary

The Avante Group seeks an Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for its Central Florida skilled nursing facilities. You will oversee Nursing Services, ensure regulatory compliance and elevate patient care across locations.

This role involves travel to multiple sites as needed and requires strong leadership and RN licensure. Join our team to guide clinical operations, mentor staff, and maintain the highest standards of care while navigating federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet licensure requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Minimum 3-5 years as RN.
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Must maintain current CPR Certification.
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the Nursing Services Department.

Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehab is seeking an Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for the Central FL area to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. This role will travel to our different locations in Central FL as needed to fill in as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
• Must be at least l8 years of age.
• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
• Previous experience in a hospital, long term care facility or other healthcare related facility.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Minimum 3-5 years as RN.
• Must maintain current CPR Certification.
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to remain calm under stress.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must be willing and able to travel

Education and Experience:

• Must have at least five (5) years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an RN.
