Job summary

The University of Oregon, through the SPECS Department in the College of Education, seeks to create a pool of qualified instructors and lecturers for undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as instruction and assessment, transition, educational foundations, and behavior analysis. Positions are limited-duration, potentially renewable for up to three years, with evenings or weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in special education, school psychology, other areas of psychology, or related professions.
• Relevant subject matter expertise (special education, school psychology, psychology, teaching).
• Professional experience in one or more of the content areas listed above.
• Ph.D. or other doctorate in special education, school psychology, applied behavior analysis, or related professions.

Responsibilities

• Course preparation and teaching using face to face, online or hybrid modalities.
• Preparation and evaluation of student assignments and exams.
• Supervision of Graduate Employees who serve as teaching assistants.
• Scheduled office hours; some courses meet during evenings or weekends.
