Job summary

Emerson College is seeking an Interim Head Coach for a NCAA Division III varsity program in Boston. You will lead the program, supervise staff, and drive athlete development and competitive success.

You will recruit prospective student-athletes, plan and implement conditioning and training, and ensure compliance with NCAA and NEWMAC rules while fostering academic achievement and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years coaching at post-secondary level or college playing/pro experience.
• Experience with student-athlete development and recruitment processes.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to coaching staff and student athletes.
• Attend scouting events; evaluate and attract student-athletes.
• Create training programs focused on skill, conditioning, and mental prep.
• Instruct in fundamentals, techniques, and advanced tactics.
• Make real-time in-game decisions to optimize performance.
