Job summary

WPI in Worcester seeks a Head Coach of Softball who will lead the program, develop competitive teams within NCAA Division III and NEWMAC, and foster an educational environment that supports the whole student-athlete.

The position also includes teaching physical education courses, supervising assistant coaches, recruiting student-athletes, managing budgets, fundraising, and performing departmental administrative duties while upholding university policies and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 to 5 years of collegiate coaching experience.
• Experience with NCAA and conference compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Softball program; ensure NCAA/New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and WPI compliance.
• Develop team and individual strategies to foster success through technical and fundamental softball instruction.
• Supervise assistant coaches and staff; support recruiting and student-athlete development.
• Teach physical education courses and perform departmental administrative duties as assigned.
