Interim Global Payroll Consultant

Our client, a cloud-based software company in hypergrowth mode, is seeking an experienced Global Payroll Consultant to support their expanding international operations.

This opportunity is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone or the Bay Area for potential long-term conversion.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries in partnership with EORs and third-party vendors
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on journal entries and payroll account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and company policies
• Develop and maintain SOPs and enforce SOX controls
• Liaise with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize service delivery
• Support global taxation and mobility tax implications for cross-border employees
• Lead or support payroll system upgrades and new country launches
• Provide high-quality support to employees and stakeholders on payroll inquiries

Requirements

• 5-10 years of payroll experience, including 3+ years managing international payroll
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) and ADP
• Experience with EOR providers and third-party processors
• Strong understanding of FX rates, global payroll operations, and mobility taxation
• Proven ability to manage SOX controls and support audits

Compensation

The compensation for this role depends on a wide array of factors, including skills, experience, certifications, location, and business needs. Salary range for the role is disclosed in this posting.
