Vaco seeks an Interim Senior Finance Manager to partner with Technical Operations and Supply Chain, guiding FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting. The role will oversee detailed budgets, monitor performance, and align projections with development timelines and operational plans.

It supports the monthly close, builds financial models, and drives strategic analyses for leadership. Hybrid SF Bay Area with ~6 months duration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related finance.
• Experience in a public biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences org desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to Technical Operations and Supply Chain leaders.
• Develop detailed budgets and forecasts across manufacturing, validation, testing, and operations.
• Monitor financial performance against forecasts and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Align financial projections with development timelines and operational plans.
• Support the monthly close by reviewing accruals and partnering with Accounting.
• Improve financial accountability and help partners understand accruals, forecasts, and targets.
• Provide FP&A support for capital expenditures and resource allocation planning.
• Develop management reports, financial models, and analyses for leadership.
• Support accrual models, special projects, and evolving business priorities.
