Job summary

BlueSky Resource Solutions is partnering with a large manufacturer to hire an Interim Director of Finance & Shared Services in Atlanta. The role focuses on overseeing AP and Payroll, driving process improvements, and strengthening internal controls during a 4-6 month interim period.

The Director will lead the Shared Services team, manage day-to-day operations, and partner with senior Finance and business leaders to ensure accurate financial processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Finance/Shared Services experience.
• SAP experience required.
• Experience overseeing Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.
• Experience managing large, multi-entity organizations preferred.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliations.

The Director will oversee shared services operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Payroll, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial processes across the organization. This role will provide leadership to the shared services team, drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and partner closely with Finance and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Shared Services organization, with emphasis on AP and Payroll

• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Ensure accurate and timely processing, reporting, and reconciliations

• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and accounting processes
• Proven ability to quickly assess an organization, identify priorities, and implement solutions
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance and operational teams
