Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is partnering with a well-established construction organization in Phoenix for an Interim Controller role, onsite. This contract-focused position supports accounting modernization and detailed financial cleanup with a target start date and a 4-5+ month duration.

You will lead the monthly close, oversee GL cleanup, fixed assets, and project-level accounting such as job costing and WIP reporting, ensuring accurate financial results for construction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Construction project accounting experience required.
• Vista system experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative construction setting.

Vaco has partnered with a well-established construction organization undergoing accounting and operational modernization. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Interim Controller with strong construction accounting expertise, financial cleanup experience, and Vista ERP knowledge.

Job Title: Interim Controller

Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite)

Pay Rate: $65-70 per hour

Project Duration: 4-5+ months (ideally contract-to-hire)

Start Date: Target 9/7

Responsibilities Include:
