Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Interim Controller for an Orlando, FL engagement (remote) lasting 4-6+ months. You will lead the accounting function, drive close processes, and implement automated NetSuite workflows while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and leadership in a PE-backed or multi-entity environment. CPA preferred; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level or team leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, internal controls, and audit coordination.
• Experience with revenue cycle and practice management systems (e.g., MedEvolve) preferred.
• Treasury and cash management experience preferred.
• Thrives in hectic, fast-changing environments and can make an impact right away.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Support the transition to more automated processes in NetSuite, keeping operations running smoothly in the meantime.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies to ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
• Prepare financial statements, executive reports, and key metrics for leadership and PE stakeholders.
• Oversee revenue cycle accounting, including billing, collections, and integration with practice management systems.
• Manage cash and treasury activities in a demanding environment.
• Lead and support a small accounting team, setting priorities and accountability.
• Partner with executive leadership and operations to address accounting issues and drive practical fixes.

Must-Haves

• NetSuite: Hands-on experience using NetSuite as the primary accounting system
• Multi-entity healthcare: Accounting leadership in a healthcare organization with multiple entities and locations
• Acquisitive, PE-backed environment: Experience at a PE-backed company that acquires and integrates physician or provider practices
• Specialty healthcare (strongly preferred): Background in a specialty practice group, such as eye care, dental, dermatology, or orthopedics
