The HT Group is looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing healthcare services organization in Hackensack, New Jersey. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. The ideal candidate should possess a CPA license, substantial healthcare accounting experience, and expertise in NetSuite ERP.

Compensation ranges from $155,000 to $175,000 base plus bonus and equity participation. The position offers hybrid work flexibility and requires strong leadership and analytical skills to drive operational efficiency.

Competenze

Position Overview

The HT Group is partnering with a growing healthcare services organization and is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a key part in building scalable financial infrastructure to support multi‑state growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on CPA with strong healthcare accounting experience, deep expertise in NetSuite ERP, and a process‑oriented mindset focused on automation and operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes across multiple entities
• Prepare consolidated financial reporting and management analysis
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, controls, and compliance procedures

Systems, Process Improvement & Automation

• Serve as the primary NetSuite administrator and subject matter expert
• Lead ERP optimization, workflow automation, and system integrations
• Drive process improvements and scalable workflows across finance operations
• Implement automation and AI‑enabled solutions to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy

Audit, Compliance & Tax

• Lead external audit processes and manage auditor relationships
• Ensure compliance with multi‑state tax and healthcare‑related regulations
• Partner with external advisors on tax planning and reporting
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and risk management practices

Leadership & Operations

• Lead and develop distributed accounting teams, including remote/offshore staff
• Establish performance expectations, SOPs, and accountability measures
• Partner cross‑functionally with leadership on strategic growth initiatives

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
• Strong NetSuite ERP expertise required
• Healthcare or multi‑entity accounting experience preferred
• Experience with automation, process improvement, and financial systems optimization preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
