Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our finance team in a remote role. You will oversee month-end through year-end close, manage journal entries, and reconciliations across business units while partnering with FP&A, treasury, and operations to strengthen controls in a fully remote environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA, and 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or large regional firms, with

Responsibilities

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial statements
• Oversee journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations across business units
• Collaborate with FP&A on budget-to-actual variance analyses
• Lead financial integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions to ensure alignment
• Serve as the functional finance lead for ERP transition and process improvements
• Support operational treasury functions, including banking relationships and fund transfers
• Manage and mentor a fully remote accounting team, establishing performance goals

For our client, we are seeking a Assistant Controller to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will oversee core accounting operations and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across the organization. The position will also support broader finance initiatives, including M&A integration, ERP transition work, and process improvement efforts. In addition, this leader will partner closely with FP&A, treasury, and operational stakeholders to strengthen controls and drive consistency across a remote team. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000 annually Responsibilities
