• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including vendor and supplier agreements, services agreements, marketing and sponsorship agreements, technology and software agreements, data-related agreements, filming and licensing agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction-related agreements and project documents, including change orders, task orders, work orders, and related documentation.
• Advise business teams on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and practical solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations, hospitality, marketing, technology, & finance.
• Support contract development and administration including contract lifecycle management.
• Provide guidance on data privacy, information security, intellectual property, and other legal issues arising in the live and location-based entertainment industry.
• Assist with liquor licensing, permitting, regulatory compliance, and related matters, as applicable.
• Identify legal & commercial risks & communicate recommendations to legal & non-legal stakeholders.
• Monitor relevant legal & regulatory developments and help implement appropriate business practices.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Overview:

Client seeks a practical, business-oriented Interim Legal Counsel to support their venues and business operations. Working under the guidance and supervision of senior members of the legal team, this attorney will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting venue operations, hospitality, construction, finance, marketing, events, data privacy, and technology.

Company:

Master-planned sports and entertainment district currently under construction in Anaheim.

Experience:

4+ years of transactional legal experience at a law firm, in-house legal, or a combination of both.

Responsibilities Include:

Pay Range: $90-100/hr

Individual compensation offered for this position within the pay range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
