Job summary

Matura Farrington in West Los Angeles seeks an experienced Contract / Temporary Corporate Transactions Attorney to support an active matter.

The assignment involves due diligence through closing of M&A and related transactions. You will review and organize documents, respond to diligence requests, and coordinate with internal teams and opposing counsel. Onsite onboarding precedes a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership required.
• Meaningful corporate transactional experience.
• Prior M&A experience required.
• Experience supporting transactions through diligence and closing.
• Strong contract review and drafting skills.
• Experience with virtual data rooms strongly preferred.
• Experience at large law firm or boutique corporate practice preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and professional communication.

Compensation: up to $140/hour depending on experience

Temporary Assignment

Matura Farrington has partnered with a West Los Angeles boutique law firm that is seeking an experienced Contract / Temporary Corporate Transactions Attorney to provide immediate support on an active matter.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A and other corporate transactions from due diligence through closing
• Review and organize transaction documents and supporting materials
• Respond to diligence requests and assist with document review
• Review commercial contracts, leases, corporate agreements, and related business documents
• Maintain transaction checklists and coordinate closing deliverables
• Work within virtual data rooms and other document-management platforms
• Coordinate with internal teams, opposing counsel, and other transaction participants
• Assist with additional corporate transactional matters as needed

Qualifications

• Experience supporting sophisticated transactions through diligence and closing
• Strong contract review and drafting skills
• Experience with virtual data rooms strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
• Temporary assignment expected to last approximately 3+ months
• Potential for extension depending on business needs
• Initial onsite onboarding, followed by a hybrid schedule
• Compensation is flexible and based on experience
