Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a certified EMT-Paramedic to join the MedCenter Air team in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on timely patient care, accurate documentation, and safe administration of medications and IV solutions in a high-stress transport environment.

The position requires current EMT-P certification, high school diploma or GED, and field experience. State and national registrations are essential, with additional preferences for SC credentials and catastrophe response training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Successful completion of an accredited EMT-Paramedic training program required
• Current applicable state EMT-P certification required
• NC EMT-P and National Registry Paramedic certifications preferred; SC EMT-P and National Registry Paramedic required within 90 days
• BCLS and ACLS required
• PALS, S.T.A.B.L.E. and NRP preferred; driving course within 90 days
• One-year active field pre-hospital experience required; three years total paramedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes skills check with accuracy and maintains mission-ready vehicle and equipment
• Documents patient care accurately in the medical record
• Provides quality patient care and education per policy and state regulations
• Administers medications and IV solutions safely and per policy
• Follows safety guidelines and vehicle operation procedures
• Contributes to public relations and marketing activities as needed
• Maintains ability to drive under Advocate Health policies and state regulations
