Job summary

Advocate Health's AirCare Paramedic - Ground Transport role seeks a skilled ALS Paramedic to deliver high-quality assessments, triage, and treatment for patients across ages in pre-hospital settings. You will operate advanced equipment, follow Medical Director protocols, and provide autonomous patient care outside the hospital to improve outcomes.

Requirements include EMT-Paramedic training, North Carolina Paramedic certification, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years of field experience, with a 90-day

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited EMT-Paramedic training program required.
• North Carolina Paramedic certification required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS required to completing orientation.
• Two (2) years of clinical paramedic experience required, including one year in active field pre-hospital work.
• Advocate Health approved driving course must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by Advocate Health for driving AirCare vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care through high-quality assessment and triage to determine illness/injury level and prioritize care.
• Operate specialized medical equipment and use advanced skills for all age groups.
• Work autonomously outside the hospital under Medical Director protocols as approved by NCOEMS.
• Apply advanced practice procedures to improve patient outcomes and document care properly.
