Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Paramedic to provide patient care in accordance with state regulations and internal policies. You will administer medications, monitor patients, and communicate needs to the care team under supervision of Providers and Medical Directors.

The role requires OEMS-approved paramedic training, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a CPI course within 30 days of hire, with EMS affiliation for National Registry maintenance.

Qualifications

• Paramedic training completed as OEMS approved.
• CPI course must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• State paramedic certification required; National Registry preferred; BLS, ACLS, PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by the Medical Director.
• Administers medications safely according to policy, under supervision of the Provider.
• Collects and communicates data, reads monitors, and intervenes to ensure patient safety.
• Evaluates patients and communicates needs to the care team per guidelines.
• Executes skills approved by state OEMS and Medical Director.
• Transports patients between designated areas.
• Maintains competency for Point-of-Care testing per Advocate Health policies and regulations.
