TerraForm Power is seeking an Interconnection Engineer to support siting strategy through project construction. You will execute grid injection analyses, estimate interconnection costs, and manage interconnection studies under supervision, with growing independence as you gain expertise.

The role supports negotiations, aligns procurement timelines, and coordinates with utilities and EPC partners to ensure successful project delivery. Hybrid remote-friendly position in Charlottesville area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years supporting transmission generator design and interconnection.
• Familiarity with PJM, ISO-NE, CAISO, SPP, MISO, and SERC is a plus.
• Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses for interconnection variants.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Identify technically feasible and economical interconnection points.
• Submit interconnection requests to utilities/ISOs/RTOs.
• Prepare power flow, dynamic, and fault models for interconnection.
• Assist with interconnection agreements and project milestones.
• Maintain TerraForm Power's interconnection database and tools.
