Job summary

TerraForm Power in Charlottesville, with a remote option, is seeking a Senior Interconnection Engineer to drive grid interconnection studies and cost estimates for Greenfield and Repower projects. You will lead injection analyses and work closely with utilities and EPC partners to ensure timely, economical interconnections.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years leading transmission generator design and interconnection.
Familiarity with PJM, ISO-NE, CAISO, SPP, MISO, and SERC grids.
Experience in Greenfield Development, Repowering, or adding BESS.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead grid injection analyses for Greenfield and Repower projects.
Estimate interconnection costs and schedules.
Develop standards, tools, and processes for interconnection.
Manage interconnection databases and third-party consultants.
Coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and EPC partners.
Negotiate Interconnection Agreements and monitor compliance.
Support project procurement and construction alignment.
