Job summary

NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development is seeking a Community Coordinator to support interagency coordination for accelerating affordable housing production. The role involves coordinating with internal and external partners, managing pipeline data, and assisting with the ASAP initiative to streamline housing development timelines.

Candidates should have a background in housing development, urban planning, or related fields, plus strong writing and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree with two years' experience in community work or related area.
• Alternative: high school diploma with six years of related experience.
• Experience in housing development, planning or construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Interagency Coordination to accelerate housing production.
• Coordinate with Mayor's Office and external partners for timely approvals.
• Assist in pipeline data management and process mapping for ASAP.
• Attend ASAP task force meetings and contribute to reports and analyses.
• Collaborate with BLDS teams to track project progress through pre-development and construction.
