Job summary

City of New York's HPD is seeking a Community Coordinator to support the Fair Housing Policy Investments team. The role focuses on translating policy commitments into municipal actions, coordinating across agencies, and advancing equity in housing programs.

The ideal candidate will conduct policy analysis, manage data and reporting, and engage with senior leadership to ensure timely delivery of FHPI initiatives and related studies. This is a full-time role based in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of community work or community-centered activities.
• Experience in policy analysis and reporting to inform HPD NYC actions.
• Familiarity with New York City housing issues and equity-focused policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a central coordinator and researcher across HPD teams to implement fair housing commitments.
• Conduct policy analysis and data collection to shape municipal actions and narratives.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports on Where We Live NYC commitments.
• Coordinate with SOI testing vendors, respond to inquiries, and ensure reporting and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with OPS and agency teams to support learning and development.
• Engage with agency leadership to translate high-level policy into actionable steps.
