South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an Intensive Supervision Officer to oversee juveniles and families under supervision, providing screening, assessment, and tailored interventions. You will engage with community resources and promote alternatives to incarceration while ensuring public safety.

The role emphasizes restorative justice, job readiness, and diligent case management, with reporting duties and collaboration with supervisors and directors across the agency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social science is required.
• Possess knowledge of federal/state laws related to juvenile offenders and juvenile justice systems.
• Ability to organize and maintain a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Intensive Supervision Officer for juveniles.
• Supervises intake, probation and parole cases at moderate or intensive level.
• Provides screening and assessment of juveniles' needs to identify and implement interventions.
• Develops community partnerships and resources for youth.
• Provides alternatives to incarceration while promoting community safety.
• Promotes restorative justice practices and youth job readiness.
• Maintains case files including JJMS data entry.
• Prepares reports as requested.
