Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an entry-level case management specialist to coordinate services for youth referred to DJJ, including assessment, planning, monitoring, advocacy and direct supervision.

You will serve as the primary case manager across diversion, intake, probation or parole, interview youth and families, develop comprehensive needs-based plans, advocate for timely services, maintain JJMS data, and participate in professional development and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of laws/regulations pertaining to juvenile offenders.
• Ability to organize and maintain a caseload.
• Strong communication and interviewing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary case manager for youth referred to DJJ.
• Interview juveniles and families to assess functioning, needs.
• Monitor compliance with court orders.
• Develop comprehensive needs-based case management plans.
• Advocate for timely and appropriate services.
• Maintain JJMS data and relevant documentation.
• Promote restorative justice and coordinate services.
